It is to our credit that the Multi-Door Courthouse concept was introduced into
the Nigerian judiciary system with the initiation of The Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse,
the first court - connected ADR Centre in Africa in June 2002 and its
subsequent replication by the Judiciary of the Federal Capital Territory (The
Abuja Multi-Door Courthouse) in November 2003. A number of States both within
Nigeria and in the West African sub-region are also at various stages of
replication.
