Train
With an ace faculty and a quest for excellence providing both standard and
customised courses, The NCMG Train is the leading training institution in the
field of Dispute Resolution in Africa.
The Research and
Publications Unit
This unit fulfils the task of sourcing and
disseminating information on dispute resolution to the units of the organisation and the public.
The NCMG
Consult
The consultancy unit of the NCMG initiates, develops and manages ADR and
conflict resolution projects. The Unit utilises a two pronged approach to its
work:
- Court connected consultancy (Multi-Door Courthouse Replication )
- Non-court connected consultancy (developing dispute resolution units/
systems for governments, corporations and organisations)
The NCMG Centre
for Dispute Resolution
The NCMG Centre for Dispute Resolution is the private sector ADR service Unit
of the NCMG. Like its Court connected counterpart, The NCMG Centre for Dispute
Resolution offers ADR services to disputants who opt for non-court connected
dispute resolution.
The NCMG Conflict
Management Committee
The key mission of The Conflict Management Committee of the NCMG is to
supplement and support the efforts of Governments, African Unity (AU), ECOWAS,
other sub-regional groups on the continent and the United Nations in peace
building:
It endeavours to achieve this by:
- Designing early warning and early response systems for West African
Communities.
- Determining and advising as objectively as possible, appropriate strategies for
averting or ameliorating conflict related and resultant crises.
- Acting as a catalyst to help foster a heightened sense of obligation among
organisations, governments and communities to deal with conflicts.
- Providing forum for mediation and dialogue bridges in pre-conflict and conflict
situation
