| The NCMG Peace Awards |
Eleven years ago, the Negotiation and Conflict Management Group (NCMG) came into existence to contribute and participate significantly in achieving the much needed improvement in the Nigerian Judicial system. Though it has been a period of immense challenges, it has also been one of great achievement and strides. In this annual event, the NCMG shall celebrate African individuals and corporations that have identified with and made meaningful contributions to dispute resolution.
These Awards are intended to increase public awareness of Conflict Resolution efforts and Alternative Dispute Resolution practices
The Awards will be given in three categories:

| Award Categories |
| The Peace Builder Award |
 |
The Peace Builder is identified as any individual in the public or private sector, who has consistently and effectively promoted peaceful modes of dispute resolution and conflict management reforms in any region of Africa. The Peace Builder Award may be given to one or two persons (but not more than two persons). |

| The Corporate Peace Award: |
| |
This Award may be given to any corporate body, religious organisation, government institution or non-governmental organisation that has shown consistent track record in promoting peaceful modes of dispute resolution. |

| The Press Peace Award: |
| |
This Award may be given to any media organization. The search is for innovativeness, creativity and unbiased neutrality in the construction of news, articles and presentations towards reducing the possibility of volatile reaction, escalation of conflict in the society and creating an enabling environment towards peaceful resolution of conflicts. |
